Complinet announces shortlist for 4th Annual Compliance Awards

London, UK – November 27 2007 – Complinet, the leading provider of solutions that dynamically deliver relevant compliance intelligence to industry professionals, has announced the shortlist for the 4th Annual Compliance Awards.
Due to be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London, the awards will recognise the contributions of compliance officers, compliance trainers, and professional advisers in helping to ensure that the UK remains at the forefront of global financial services.
While most of the categories will be familiar to the 300 compliance professionals who attended the 2007 awards, there are also new categories reflecting the maturing and evolving nature of the compliance industry.
“To mark Complinet’s tenth anniversary this year, we have included a new award the Compliance Personality of the Decade,” said Chris Pilling, founder and CEO of Complinet. “We also recognise that the compliance industry is becoming more international as a result of globalisation in the financial services industry, so we have created a new category to recognise the International Compliance Personality of the Year.”
A panel of external judges drew up the shortlist from a long list of nominations received by the industry. Criteria included the quality of the individual applications, the judges’ own knowledge of the nominated person or project, and the weight of support behind a particular person or project.
