Complinet hosts 2009 advisory board meetings

Operational risk noted as one of the key challenges for compliance and risk professionals

New York and London, September 01, 2009 - Complinet, the leading provider of connected risk and compliance solutions to the global financial services community, has hosted its first two Customer Advisory Board meetings in New York and London where it was confirmed that the connections between compliance and operational risk, as well as executive oversight, are emerging as key trends as the markets recover.

Chris Pilling, chief executive at Complinet, said: "Our clients have confirmed that their key areas of concern and focus include getting compliance in the boardroom, and the importance of thinking global but acting local on issues such as gifts and gratuities. The over-arching theme was the need to step away from siloed pockets of compliance and risk to a connected global approach."

He continued: "For the last 12 years, our products have been built by compliance professionals for compliance professionals. The Customer Advisory Board allows us to sit down and really talk with our customers, to understand their challenges and current approaches and to listen to how they are using our tools and what we can do to further help them meet their compliance obligations."
