Complinet recruits industry heavyweights to bolster editorial team

Specialist journalists enhance Complinet’s commitment to compliance

New York – 1 April 2009 – Complinet, the leading provider of connected compliance solutions to the global financial services industry, has announced the hire of four senior editorial staff to expand its US content team.

Complinet welcomes Scott McCleskey as Managing Editor of its North American operation. Scott is an ex-regulator, having worked at FINRA, and an ex-Chief Compliance Officer with exchange, broker-dealer and credit rating agency experience in the US and overseas. Scott has an extensive policy background, and is a published author on practical and theoretical aspects of regulatory policy.

Joining Scott in the US office is Nick Paraskeva, until recently SVP Global Regulatory Risk/Rules Implementation at Citigroup. Nick is a UK-qualified Chartered Accountant whose regulatory career began at the UK Securities and Futures Authority (now the Financial Services Authority) where he was Head of International Capital Policy. He was subsequently head of European regulations and then European fixed income product support at Salomon Brothers. Nick specializes in coverage of banking and broker-dealer regulation.

Garrett Dombroswski also brings a wealth of relevant experience to the team, having worked in compliance roles at Ryan Beck, UBS Warburg, Merrill Lynch, Dillon Read and Stifel Nicolaus. At Merrill Lynch, he was the Senior Compliance Officer – Regulatory Affairs reporting directly to the Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs. Garrett is a qualified lawyer, holds a number of securities industry professional qualifications and has a broad range of experience across Investment Adviser as well as Retail and Capital Markets Broker Dealer compliance matters.

Julie DiMauro completes the quartet of new hires. Julie joins as Commissioning Editor following a career path that has seen her working for a number of professional publishing houses including Vendome Group and Quinlan Publishing. Julie began her career with Fidelity Investments.
