Adam Samuel,
compliance consultant
Adam Samuel has been an independent compliance consultant for the last twelve years, advising, training and solving problems primarily for the retail sector. He also writes extensively about compliance and dispute resolution including "Consumer Complaints and Compensation" the only significant book on that subject. He acts as an arbitrator and adjudicator for the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Adam combines his training as a barrister and an attorney with qualifications in both the financial planning and mortgage sectors. He drafted the Institute of Financial Planning's Disciplinary Procedures and deals with cases for them as its independent investigator. He is a member of the Practice and Standards Committee and Arbitration Sub-Committee of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Adam's past roles include being the Staff Lawyer responsible for the English-speaking world at the Swiss Government's Institute of Comparative Law, an Insurance Ombudsman's Assistant and the second PIA Ombudsman.
