Jane Green is currently director of UK regulation at the Futures and Options Association where she is responsible for business conduct (including the implementation of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive), financial crime and oversight of prudential regulatory issues.

Jane qualified as a chartered accountant at Deloitte, working with financial services clients in the firm's London, Isle of Man and Luxembourg offices. In 1994, Jane joined Deloitte's banking and securities regulatory consulting practice where she specialised in securities and investment management regulation. She was involved in, inter alia, advising on, and reviewing, firms' anti-money laundering and client classification procedures, performing business conduct and client money regulatory reviews and investigations, designing and delivering regulatory training, drafting compliance documentation and providing general compliance advice.

In 1999, Jane moved to the Financial Services Authority, and worked on policy development and handbook drafting and N2 preparations; latterly, as a member of the general counsel legislation team with particular responsibility for secondary legislation. After a brief period back at the "Big Four", Jane joined the FOA in June 2003.
