Simon McDougall is a director at Deloitte's UK practice. He leads Deloitte's UK privacy and data protection team and coordinates Deloitte's Europe, Middle East and Africa work in this area. Simon is a chartered accountant, and initially joined the financial assurance services practice where he provided assurance and advisory services to a range of financial services clients. Simon then worked in Deloitte's technology advisory and assurance team before specialising in privacy and data protection.

Simon's team provides advisory support in privacy and data protection, records management and information risk. He has particular experience in building data protection programmes in large organisations, advising on privacy in IT implementations, and integrating information risk management into the enterprise-wide risk framework.
