Tim became Chairman of the RDC on 1 February 2005 following a career of nearly 30 years at Clifford Chance, the international law firm. During his time at Clifford Chance he became one of the UK's leading financial services lawyers, heading up the firm's financial services regulatory and asset management practices and also spent a period of secondment at the Securities and Investments Board, assisting in the drafting of rules and regulations to be made under the Financial Services Act. He is a past chairman of both the Law Society's Company Law Committee and the International Bar Association's Investment Funds Committee.
