1. What are the Compliance Awards?
The Compliance Awards recognise the contribution of the compliance role, compliance trainers and professional advisers in helping to ensure that the UK remains at the forefront of global financial services.

6. What time will the event start and finish?
- 17:45 – 19:00: Cocktail reception
- 19:00 – 22:30: Gala dinner and award ceremony
- 22:30 – 00:15: Post-award entertainment
7. What is the dress code?
Black tie
8. Can I book a room overnight?
Yes. Rooms can be booked directly with Grosvenor House on 020 7499 6363, or you can book them through Expotel on 020 7372 2001. Rooms at the Grosvenor House are based on a first come first served basis. (It is the attendee’s responsibility to book overnight accommodation. Complinet takes no responsibility in booking rooms for delegates).

10. How do I nominate?
Using the navigation bar click on the 2008 Awards and then on Categories. Alternatively click on the ‘nominate now’ located in a prominent position throughout the site. The “Category” page will list all awards you can nominate for. By clicking on the nomination category of choice, you will be directed to the nomination process where you will be able to fill in the details and reasons for your nomination(s).
11. Does it cost to enter a nomination?
No. The nomination process is free.
12. What is the deadline for nominations?
Friday, 9 November 2007, 14:00
13. When and where will the shortlist of nominees be announced?
Wednesday, 21 November 2007.
The shortlist of nominees will be announced on the Compliance Awards website.
14. When and where will the Awards be announced?
The winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner, to be held at The Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London on Thursday, 17 January 2008. Details of the winners will be posted on this website as well as released to the news media after the event.
15. What happens to late applications?
Applications that are not received by Friday, 9 November 2007, will not be considered for the 2008 Annual Compliance Awards.
16. What should I include in my entry?
Key reasons your nomination(s) should include:
- Background information about the nominee
- Why you have nominated him/her?
- Key skills that enable them to do their job
- What benefits have they brought to you and/or the company?
17. How many entries can I submit?
You can submit as many entries as you wish, although the quantity and quality of your entries will be monitored for abuse.
18. As a nominator can I attend the awards dinner?
Yes. Tickets may be purchased by calling Jenny Tyler on 0870 042 6400. You may purchase individual tickets, 2 or more tickets or host a table of 10. Full booking details are listed on the “how to book” section of this website. Alternatively, please contact us for further information.
19. Where will the judging take place?
Complinet Offices in Vintners’ Place, London
20. Who are the judges?
Post nomination deadline, the judges will be announced.
