About the 2nd GCC Regulators' Summit
The Middle East region is attracting unprecedented levels of foreign investment, with the GCC showing particularly strong growth. The development of the region's regulatory regimes has impressed fund managers and senior directors at investment banks as they allocate resources and increase their investments across the region.
It is vital that confidence continues to build regarding the transparency of local markets and the quality of regulation in the GCC. To this end, the GCC Regulators' Summit has emerged to provide an opportunity for the compliance community to meet with the region's regulators and other market players.
The inaugural GCC Regulators Summit in Doha last year attracted a high-calibre delegation, including Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi and His Excellency Yousef Kamal. Senior executives from the region's regulators were also among the speakers that showcased the GCC's regulatory developments.
The 2nd GCC Regulators' Summit, building on this success, will present a series of panel sessions addressing the most crucial regulatory developments and how to manage them. The panel sessions will feature representatives from a number of GCC jurisdictions, including Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
The two-day conference will cover collective investment regulation, banking supervision, corporate governance, market abuse and enforcement, the retail banking regulatory framework, insurance and reinsurance regulation, HR planning, real estate investment regulations, training and education.
This is a private, invitation-only conference that is open only to the guests of Complinet and the conference sponsors.
Delegates will receive presentations from 25 international speakers, case studies from across the world, documentation on CD and in hard copy, as well as refreshments. Bahrain Financial Services Development will host a unique and memorable gala dinner at one of the world's most famous F1 race tracks, the Bahrain International Circuit. Delegates will also be greeted upon arrival with an exquisite cocktail reception also hosted by the BFSD.
The GCC Regulators' Summit will be an interactive conference experience where ideas are exchanged and relationships are strengthened. It will offer extensive opportunities for networking and delegates will be able to develop relationships with potential clients.
