Mexico sends more suspected laundrymen to America

The Mexican government has extradited two of its citizens to the United States to face drug trafficking and money laundering charges. Jesus Emilio Rivera Pinon was handed over to prosecutors in Houston, Texas while Leonardo Vasquez Estrada was sent to Miami, Florida. The charges against the men are not related. According to a press release from the Procuraduría General de la República, the Mexican attorney general's office, Rivera Pinon stands accused of trafficking large amounts of cocaine and hiding the proceeds in "secret compartments of various vehicles". A press release issued by the US Department of Justice stated that Rivera Pinon had been charged with conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and money laundering. Between 2004 and 2007, Vasquez Estrada was allegedly a member of a cocaine trafficking organization that smuggled drug proceeds to Mexico and used the Casa de Cambio Puebla SA to funnel the money back
