The Client
My client are an established Investment Banking organisation and are presently searching to recruit a Compliance professional within their Control Room function.
This area of the business is responsible for conducting daily surveillance across the organisation's trading activities within the EMEA region, including the identification of potential abuses and breaches of the firm's internal watch and restricted list process
The Role
You will be tasked daily with:
- Performing trade surveillance against watch and restricted list securities
- Liaising with line of business and product compliance to resolve issues
- Working with technology in the design and implementation of surveillance models
- Assisting in the development and implementation of the surveillance manual outlining surveillance policies and procedures
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
- A good understanding of the associated functions of a Global Control Room as well as the importance of watch and restricted list surveillance and conflicts management
- A good understanding of information barrier policies
- Exposure to equities, derivatives and fixed income instruments, preferably within a similar environment (e.g. inv. bank, regulator).
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills
