Reporting to the Local Compliance Officer you will take ownership of all compliance issues relating to the operations of the Global Markets business in London. You: Of graduate calibre with proven compliance experince you are likely to have the following expertise: · Good knowledge of FSA rule requirements in respect of client money, client assets, trade reporting, transaction reporting, outsourcing / offshoring, settlement of transactions, operational procedures and Systems and Controls. · Proven compliance experience in respect of Operations functions. · Good knowledge of Exchange and Clearing House rules in UK and other jurisdictions · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within the Compliance function and with personnel in Global Markets Operations and the GSCs. · Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning. Ability to clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of advice and findings both verbally and in writing. · Proficient Excel and Word desirable. · Good presentation skills. · Ability to monitor and anticipate regulatory and business change and to identify how such changes will impact any advice and guidance to be provided to Global Markets Operations. · Good understanding of Global Markets business activities and client base.
