Our client, part of a worldwide conglomerate is looking for an Anti Corruption Manager to be primarily responsible for managing the firms anti-corruption program in Europe, Africa and Asia and assist with the implementation of other commercial compliance objectives in the region. It is the intention that this position will also be involved in other commercial compliance issues in the region (Antitrust, Anti-corruption, U.S. Trade Restrictions and Embargoes, Customs Compliance, Privacy Laws etc). Duties will include,
• Interact with business units and potential business partners in order to obtain information required to conduct due diligence reviews
• Conduct due diligence reviews on potential business partners in line with internal guidelines
• Develop and maintaining detailed due diligence reports in line with internal guidelines and procedures
• Visit facilities of potential business partners in order to evaluate their suitability for engaging in a business relationships
• Liaise with local Law Department for legal opinions and to initiate the drafting of required contract
• Review monthly reports of compliance sensitive accounts and take appropriate action to mitigate the risk of non-compliance activity
• Monitor local anti-corruption laws and recommend changes to internal guidelines, policies, procedures and training programs as appropriate
You should be graduate calibre with solid Compliance or other Corporate Governance experience (Code of Conduct, Ethics etc) including auditing/monitoring, some of which must have included anti bribery/corruption responsibilities (whether from Financial Services or any other sectors). Any knowledge of other languages would be advantageous, but more important is a flexible attitude including willingness to undertake travel throughout the regions.
