Data Privacy Manager (expanding bank)

The incumbent will provide advice & counsel and act as a centre of expertise for privacy and information risk management related issues, including employee matters, to Regional business units in, Capital Markets & Investment and Private Banking. This person will effectively partner with International contacts to build, enhance & implement a coordinated, client-centric approach to Privacy & Information Risk Management in Europe & Asia. This will include:

• Ensuring local oversight processes are aligned and consistent with the Enterprise privacy and information risk management strategy
• Ensure businesses are equipped to meet all business and regulatory requirements and expectations, governing law, and other applicable laws within respective jurisdictions in relation to information privacy and risk management; including safeguarding, confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, traceability, and appropriate use of information and information systems.
• Provide central point of contact for privacy and information risk management for business units and internal & external auditors
• Where appropriate, establish and ensure the maintenance of constructive working relationships with regulators overseeing privacy and information risk management within Europe and Asia.
• Provide support to local Compliance teams to establish and ensure the maintenance of constructive working relationships with regulators overseeing privacy and information risk management.

The successful incumbent will have:

• Relevant business experience
• Knowledge of financial services industry Investment and Private Banking
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for privacy and information risk management in, Europe & Asia
• Privacy and information security training/experience an advantage
• Knowledge of risk management principles
