Complinet | Recruitment | Jobhttp://www.complinet.com/recruitmentjobs/job/details/id/11431Competitive | Location: United Kingdom | Sector: Compliance & Regulation | Published: February 24th 2010 | <p><strong>Role:</strong></p> <p>The Analyst/Associate will be one of 8 members of staff in the EMEA AML team.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The Analyst/Associate will report to the Head of UK AML Compliance.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p> <p>The primary responsibilities of this role include:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Review output from sanctions screening.</li> <li>Approve outgoing payments that match against sanctions lists.</li> <li>Provide oral and written advice on AML and Sanctions policies and procedures to Business and Operations departments.</li> <li>Conduct due diligence on high risk clients and discuss issues with senior members of the team.</li> <li>Work with global colleagues to improve processes and ensure, where possible, procedures and processes are consistent. </li> <li>Review potential suspicious activity and draft reports for SOCA.</li> <li>Assist with project work.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Skills Required <span></span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Degree educated or equivalent and/or professionally qualified individual.</li> <li>Sufficient experience, preferably more, in a financial environment with a leading bank, securities house, regulator or accountancy practice preferably within a regulatory compliance orientated role.</li> <li>A confident individual who shows initiative, excellent judgment, analytical and communications skills.</li> <li>Numeric and computer skills ideal.</li> <li>Salary: competitive and commensurate with experience.</li> </ul>
