		&lt;p&gt;Our Client, a leading International Investment Bank, seeks a senior compliance officer for a newly created group advisory role. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will have responsibility for providing technical compliance support and guidance across a number of business areas including Equities, Investment Banking &amp; UK take over panel activities. Duties will include;  &lt;br /&gt;&amp;bull; Providing effective compliance advice to fellow compliance officers and business management on best practice, regulatory requirements, internal procedures and directives.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;bull; Working with other compliance officers in dealing with inquiries from Regulators or Exchanges &amp; where appropriate, to coordinate responses to issues raised by the FSA, exchanges or multilateral trading facilities&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;bull; Regularly reviewing general policies and procedures to ensure that they are up to date, adequate and sufficiently detailed. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;bull; Proactively identifying future new laws, regulations and best market practices that will impact on current policies and procedures, ensuring that these are communicated to the appropriate team members&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;bull; To work with the Central Compliance team to ensure that high level conflicts have been appropriately managed in accordance with internal procedures, and to raise any specific issues for discussion with the Control room and/or business lines&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;bull; Providing regular compliance reports &amp; management information&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The successful candidate will need to have sound experience of equities broking, as well as corporate finance and other financing e.g. project &amp; structured finance and a proven track record of dealing at high levels with the regulator and senior management. While any knowledge of takeover panel and corporate financing would be advantageous, as important will be your excellent relationship building skills and your ability to influence your peers and drive through change and improvement.&lt;/p&gt;
