The Company

My client, a highly successful asset management firm, is currently looking to appoint a Risk and Compliance consultant to join their London based team.
Reporting into The Head of Risk and Compliance the main responsibilities will include:
. Undertaking reviews of controls and procedures to assess their compliance with regulatory standards in accordance with the Compliance Plan.
* Maintaining comprehensive audit papers of monitoring undertaken.
* Producing timely and comprehensive monitoring reports for issue to the Head of Risk & Compliance.
* Proactively contributing to the ongoing development of Compliance planning processes, Compliance monitoring procedures and other Compliance operational practices
* Assisting the Head of Risk & Compliance in the completion of monthly and quarterly Risk & Compliance reports to be issued to the Boards and senior management of the relevant companies.
* Providing guidance and advice as required to business areas on compliance related issues arising from business queries, regulatory developments or business change initiatives.
* Maintaining the regulatory developments/audit tracking log.
* Ensuring regulatory policies are reviewed, kept up to date and monitored for compliance.

The Person
To be considered for this position candidates must have extensive experience gained from working within an Asset Management firm. It is also important for candidates to have gained relevant professional qualifications (i.e. Investment Management Certificate). In return this opportunity offers a basic salary of up to £50,000.
