Our Client, one of the world’s leading Commodities Traders, is looking to strengthen their Compliance Department with the addition of an experienced Compliance Analyst. This will be a varied and challenging role covering trading floor advisory and monitoring. Reporting directly to the Compliance Manager, duties will include:
• Providing timely and independent advice to the business, including advice on transactions, conflicts and new products & business initiatives.
• Maintaining awareness of potential compliance issues or concerns and manage escalations of issues in a timely manner.
• Undertaking the risk based monitoring programme as directed, covering suspicious transactions, activity on exchanges, adherence to exchange rules, approved persons monitoring, AML monitoring, etc.
• Recording and reviewing regulatory breaches and ensuring any procedural or control enhancements are implemented and adhered to.
• Working with the Compliance Manager to implement changes resulting from Compliance and other Global Risk Framework reviews and initiatives.
• Contributing, as directed, to IT and Compliance projects to improve the Compliance support and monitoring systems.
The successful candidate will be of graduate calibre and must have gained at least 18 months compliance experience in a commodities trading environment. While a good understanding of physical and paper based commodities is required as important will be your knowledge of the relevant exchange rules and FSA Regulations.
