The scope of the role includes the rules and guidance of the FSA, the Council of Mortgage Lenders, the Consumer Credit Act and the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>To undertake the monitoring activity set out in the Compliance Monitoring plan, using a combination of field-based and desk-based methods.</li> <li>To provide feedback to relevant business owners to ensure they are aware of how compliant their business is.</li> <li>To monitor and track corrective actions and to provide sign-off where these have been completed satisfactorily. </li> <li>To assist in providing agreed monthly Management Information to the Management team.</li> <li>To update the Compliance risk database with results of monitoring activity.</li> <li>To assist in developing and maintaining documented procedures for conducting the monitoring activities set out in the plan.</li> <li>To work in collaboration with Financial Crime and Legal colleagues to ensure the consistent delivery of regulatory and legislative requirements.</li> <li>To comply with the Code of Business Ethics and ensure that responsibilities regarding Treating Customers Fairly are carried out effectively and in accordance with the Company's internal policies. </li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Relevant compliance / regulatory experience in the financial services sector</li> <li>Ideally experience working within a mortgage lender</li> <li>Mortgage experience</li> </ul>
