Portfolio Analyst

My Client, a Global Fund Management company are looking to expand their Compliance division and recruit an experienced Equity Portfolio Supervisor within their Trading and Research team.
This successful Fund Management house operates under a multi-boutique structure, and is made up of a series of investment capabilities ranging across a variety of asset classes. They are independent of any broader financial services group. They can invest funds on behalf of a number of different organisations, including pension funds, insurance companies, government entities and financial institutions, as well as charities and endowments.

This Equity Portfolio Supervisor will oversee the production and distribution of equity research, reviewing all research prior to publication to ensure it is compliant with relevant regulatory rules in all countries in which research is distributed. The Supervisory Analyst would also have compliance oversight of the print and electronic distribution of research products.
The duties for the role of Equity Portfolio Supervisor will include:

-Approve research reports and other publications prior to their distribution to ensure compliance with firm policies and relevant regulations in all countries into which research is distributed.
-Have oversight of the print and electronic distribution of research.
-Liaison with research analysts in the production of research, including editorial support, and coordination with Legal and Compliance.
-Maintenance of appropriate policies, procedures, controls and records, working with review committees and keeping up to date with regulatory requirements as they effect research publication and distribution.
-Adherence to and updating of firm Style Guide.

The role of Equity Portfolio Supervisor will ideally be qualified to NASD Series 16 and ideally hold the FSA approved person qualification of CF30. You Should be a clear and open communicator, be able to build confidence and trust, and possess the ability to communicate difficult functional issues. Ideally you will be a self starter with a proactive approach, have strong analytical skills and finally have the ability to operate in a diverse team consisting of permanent employees, delivery partners and contractors.
