Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer

My client is a leading financial services provider with a strong global presence. Due to expansion, they are seeking a Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer to join their Compliance team in London. Reporting to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), key duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows;

*Provide leadership to the business regarding financial crime policy, procedure and associated matters.
*Provide an advisory service relating to day to day financial crime matters including client engagement referrals, politically exposed persons (PEPs) or other high risk indicators
*Receive and handle automated transaction monitoring, sanctions and PEP matching alerts along with internal and suspicious activity reports (SARs)
*Investigate, analyse and escalate SARs through relevant financial crime and checkpoint teams.
*Liaise with appropriate law enforcement agencies and regulators resolving issues around production orders, SARs, consent and freezing orders.
*Responsible for advising on sanctions policy, list matching issues and enquiries.
*Carry out the submission of necessary exception or breach reports.
*Provide financial crime training input to the relevant businesses as and when required.
*Collate, analyse and feedback on management information (MI) utilising various company sources.

Ideally you will be of graduate calibre and have at least five years anti money laundering experience gained within the investment banking or asset management sector. It is also envisaged you will have a deep understanding of UK regulatory requirements relating to financial crime, SARs and PEPs. Lastly, it is desirable that you are a good communicator and able to deliver innovative solutions in a fast paced environment.
