Senior Control Room Adviser (top tier bank)

My client is a top tier bank with an excellent reputation.

This Senior Control room role fits into the European Control Room which is instrumental in developing the Firm's policies and technology infrastructure related to regulation and market practice.

As a member of this team you will have responsibility for handling research clearance, maintaining the Firm's Watch and Stop lists, tracking Chinese wall crossings and other associated Control Room tasks including Personal Account Dealing, Outside Business Interests and Gifts and Entertainment.

Specific duties include:

• Work as a senior member of the Control Room team in clearing research, actioning Chinese Wall crossing requests and implementing necessary trading and research restrictions in line with Firm policies.
• Update and manage the firm's Watch and Stop lists
• Provide advice to front office businesses.
• Provide ongoing advice and guidance to the business regarding Chinese Walls, insider dealing and market abuse issues as well as developing new policies for these areas.
• Provide training to the business as required
• Working with the other Control room departments across the world to create an interconnected global team applying consistent policies and procedures.

Candidate

c 5 years Legal, Compliance/Control Room experience preferably within an investment banking or equity capital markets environment or at an exchange or regulator.
