Head of Compliance & Risk – Life & Pensions Background Required

Our Client, the Insurance arm of a Global Conglomerate, is looking to recruit an experienced Governance Professional to oversee their Compliance, Risk and Audit functions. Registered as the CF10 and CF11 and reporting into the CEO with a team of six, duties will include:

• Leading and Mentoring the Governance, Risk, Compliance and Information Security teams on a day-to-day basis.
• Working with Senior Executives to develop, implement and maintain a robust and effective risk management, compliance and internal audit framework.
• Ensuring that regulatory and operational systems and controls are robust and sufficiently meet the requirements and expectations of both internal and external stake holders, including clients, regulators and shareholders.
• Ensuring that the company’s corporate governance processes and structures are well defined, fit for purpose and operating effectively.
• Ensuring the maintenance and delivery of the audit and compliance monitoring programmes
• Ensuring measures are in place to prevent unlawful, unethical, or improper conduct and to oversee the company’s anti fraud, anti money laundering and data protection arrangements
• Undertake ad hoc compliance and risk projects that may be required from time to time.

The successful candidate must be of graduate calibre and able to demonstrate a number of years in a similar senior level Governance (Compliance/Risk/Audit) role where you will have gained extensive experience of the FSA Regulations from a Life & Pensions perspective and a good understanding of Risk.
