Operational Risk Reporting Manager

Our client, is a leading retail banking organisation looking to recruit someone for their Operation Risk team. Based out of the firm's Scottish office, the role holder will assist the Operational Risk Capital team in the following business areas:

Capital:

  • Assist with managing the quarterly Key Risk Scenario review process which will involve sourcing I analysing underlying data
  • Support subject matter expert workshops as required
  • Analyse risk event data as per Group requirements

Analytics:

  • Work towards improving the quality of the operational risk inventory, which represents material risks which require action
  • Develop the monthly agenda, pack materials, recording and tracking actions.
  • Provide Ad-hoc operational risk analysis to support senior management and provide risk insight

Reporting:

  • Collate and report to senior management, several Wealth committees (monthly and quarterly) as well as Group committees
  • Risk Partners and Risk Managers to ensure the necessary information is captured consistently and to a high standard
  • Enhance the process and reporting of risk indicators e.g. internal risk events, risk and control assessments and develop operational risk reports

Ad-hoc:

  • Update/ implement team procedures,
  • Deal with any Risk Partner/ management requests/ queries, manage and liaise with Group for any new requirements/ requests

Person Specification:

  • Previous proven experience in an Operational Risk role
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent and with strong academic results
  • Strong PC skills across Excel, Word or PowerPoint
  • Hard working with good attention to detail and analytical capacity
