Governance Team Leader - Compl 3571

THE COMPANY:

My Client is a specialist investment management business based in Edinburgh. They are looking for a Governance Team Leader to add to their successful team.

JOB PURPOSE:

The role involves leading the Governance function within the Risk & Compliance team and supporting the members of the function in achieving their objectives. The Governance function delivers the following services to the business:

  • Compliance oversight
  • Risk management framework and policy
  • Policy management
  • Oversight of the Internal Audit plan
  • Board, Audit Committee and Executive reporting
  • AAF reporting
  • Training and communication, including induction of new recruits
  • Managing relationship with its principal regulator, the FSA
  • Management of the External Audit relationship

The jobholder would lead a team of four, organising and overseeing this team to deliver a consistently high standard of service. He/she would ensure the compliance methodology is robust and successfully integrates policy, oversight and risk management and links effectively to the Advisory function and the business.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Significant experience in corporate/financial services
  • Educated to degree level
  • Three to five years management experience
  • Sound knowledge of the UK regulatory regime
  • Experience of risk management an advantage
