THE COMPANY:
My Client is a specialist investment management business based in Edinburgh. They are looking for a Governance Team Leader to add to their successful team.
JOB PURPOSE:
The role involves leading the Governance function within the Risk & Compliance team and supporting the members of the function in achieving their objectives. The Governance function delivers the following services to the business:

Compliance oversight

Risk management framework and policy
-
Policy management
-
Oversight of the Internal Audit plan
-
Board, Audit Committee and Executive reporting
-
AAF reporting
-
Training and communication, including induction of new recruits
-
Managing relationship with its principal regulator, the FSA
-
Management of the External Audit relationship
The jobholder would lead a team of four, organising and overseeing this team to deliver a consistently high standard of service. He/she would ensure the compliance methodology is robust and successfully integrates policy, oversight and risk management and links effectively to the Advisory function and the business.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Significant experience in corporate/financial services

Educated to degree level
-
Three to five years management experience
-
Sound knowledge of the UK regulatory regime

Experience of risk management an advantage
