&lt;p&gt;My Client is a specialist investment management business based in Edinburgh. They are looking for a Governance Team Leader to add to their successful team.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;JOB PURPOSE:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The role involves leading the Governance function within the Risk &amp; Compliance team and supporting the members of the function in achieving their objectives. The Governance function delivers the following services to the business:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Compliance oversight&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Risk management framework and policy&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Policy management&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Oversight of the Internal Audit plan&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Board, Audit Committee and Executive reporting&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;AAF reporting&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Training and communication, including induction of new recruits&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Managing relationship with its principal regulator, the FSA&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Management of the External Audit relationship&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The jobholder would lead a team of four, organising and overseeing this team to deliver a consistently high standard of service. He/she would ensure the compliance methodology is robust and successfully integrates policy, oversight and risk management and links effectively to the Advisory function and the business.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Significant experience in corporate/financial services&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Educated to degree level&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Three to five years management experience&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Sound knowledge of the UK regulatory regime&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Experience of risk management an advantage&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;
