Key Responsibilities will include:
· To formulate and assist in setting standards and policies and promote best practice across the activities conducted within the firm.
· To ensure that Market Abuse and related Chinese Wall issues are identified and appropriately managed.
· To actively keep abreast of changes in legislation and regulation, and industry developments; advise the business of the compliance implications; ensure that new procedures are introduced as appropriate.
· To liaise as appropriate, with other function heads and business heads.
· To assist in ensuring that all new products, initiatives and strategic changes are launched in a fully compliant manner
· To liaise and assist in building relationships with Regulators
· To develop and deliver appropriate regulatory training for Regulatory Risk staff and business staff.
· To liaise with and provide periodic reports to the Head of Regulatory Risk, on all significant matters.
· To actively liaise and co-ordinate with the Surveillance & Monitoring team and providing appropriate assistance as required.
· To undertake additional responsibilities within the banks Regulatory Risk as advised.
· In conjunction with the Anti-Money Laundering Unit promoting stronger awareness of KYC requirements and assist in the development of anti money laundering sanctions and data protection policies appropriate to the businesses.
Skills and experience
· Experience of Futures compliance essential
· Good working knowledge of relevant FSA rules and those of applicable exchanges
· Experience of dealing with regulators and exchanges
· Ability to interface with desk management and traders in a confident and assertive manner
· Graduate and/or Professional qualifications (Legal or Accountancy qualifications desirable)
