The Company
My client, a successful Lloyd's broker, is currently seeking to appoint a Deputy Compliance Officer to join their successful team in London.

Reporting into The Head of Group Compliance the main responsibilities will include:
Contributing to the development of group compliance schedule and risk management matrix.
Developing the company's reporting and audit methodologies to monitor compliance and risk levels and trends.
Developing action plans in conjunction with operational areas of the business to drive reduction in risk and improvement in compliance.
Monitoring the implementation of plans and highlighting shortcomings to senior management as necessary.
Being responsible for the monitoring and development of the Group's overseas licensing and regulator permissions.
Identifying and discussing improvements of processes and procedures to add regulatory value to the Company.
Remaining aware of relevant external and internal regulatory developments to ensure opportunities and threats are identified and acted upon.
Identifying potential regulatory risks and determining their likelihood and potential consequences.

The Person
Candidates must have extensive experience gained from a compliance role within a similar business. They must have an excellent working knowledge of the London insurance market as well as a comprehensive understanding of relevant UK and overseas regulatory requirements. In return this role provides and opportunity to work within a market leading firm and can provide the successful candidate with a salary of up to £70,000.
